Copy and drink are one letter apart in Italian, and the difference is length, not sound. A model trained on English shortens it away; ours is trained on Italian speech where the contrast carries meaning.
Where the stress falls
Italian stress is not fixed, and moving it changes the word. Our Italian data teaches the placement rather than defaulting to the second-to-last syllable and hoping.
Numbers and amounts
Prices, dates and order references are expanded into Italian words before synthesis, so a comma is read as a decimal separator and not as a pause.
